Manuel Rivas, of Stratford, was arrested on June 19, during the execution of search warrants of his home and vehicle, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
The investigation was conducted by the Stratford Narcotics Unit, in coordination with the Bridgeport Police Task Force, Safe Streets Task Force and the Norwalk Police Narcotics Unit, Eannotti said.
Rivas was taken into custody after attempting to evade detectives when they tried to conduct a motor vehicle stop, he said.
During a search of the residence, detectives located two firearms loaded with several rounds of ammunition as well as an amount of crack and cocaine packaged for sale.
Rivas who is a convicted felon is unable to legally possess a firearm, Eannotti said.
He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition, operating a drug factory, illegal transfer of a firearm, and possession of drugs with intent to sell.
Rivas is being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 19.
